AMAZING NEWS EVERYONE! KARMALOOP is now #furfree!
Greg, Karmaloop’s Founder and CEO reached out to us on our petition on Change.org. Here’s what he said:
”Thanks for everyone bring this to my attention Karmaloop already had a no Fur policy…we totally dropped the ball and I am really sorry….we have lots of new buyers come in and we didn’t communicate it…we will make sure people remember by posting a big NO FUR sign in the buyers part of our office…..
The stuff should already be down..please let me know if you ever see fur again my email is Gregs@karmaloop.com Karmaloop.com”
What a wonderful win for the animals. We want to applaud Karmaloop on their compassion and customer service. We’re looking forward to shopping with them once again.Thank you to all of our supporters!

Kitson’s continued use of real fur is incredibly disappointing. While we cannot reveal the findings of our latest undercover investigation just yet, we have uncovered some shocking discoveries. Watch this space… #furfreela
These boots are made with REAL fur. Urban Outfitters was a #furfree retailer, but they went back on their word with the sale of these boots. It’s imperative that we let them now that this is unacceptable.
Reach out to them on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook! Here’s a sample tweet:
“I won’t shop at @UrbanOutfitters + @Karmaloop until they stop selling @jcshoes “Hawk” Lita Boots with REAL FUR. #GoFurFree”
Please remember to be *polite!* and remind them that they’ve lost your business for selling real fur. Spread the word! #furfreela
JEFFREY CAMPBELL “HAWK” LITA BOOTS MADE WITH REAL FUR.
Popular fashion footwear designer Jeffrey Campbell has disgraced both the fashion and animal loving communities with a new pair of LITA booties made with REAL fur.
Yo Jeffrey Campbell Shoes! Coming out with a vegan shoe line does not mean you’ve earned a “get out of jail free” card for designing with the pelts of once living and breathing creatures.
The scandal continues…
Urban Outfitters (which claims to be #furfree, despite their history of mislabeling snafus) conveniently left out the part about real fur in it’s product description. KARMALOOP is selling the booties as well. Unlike Urban Outfitters, Karmaloop mentions several times that these boots are made with real fur. Come on guys! There’s nothing modern about Viking booties.
We’re asking that both Urban Outfitters and Karmaloop apologize and pull these items from their inventory. We’re *hoping* this is all a big misunderstanding, but if we do not hear back we will move forward with a petition, online campaign, and city wide demonstrations.
Please, do the right thing ditch the fur! #furfreela

The average slaughterhouse kills over 9,000 rabbits each day. These rabbits are bred SPECIFICALLY for their fur. Rabbits bred for their meat are usually killed around the age of 10-12 weeks when their flesh is a paler color which is more popular with consumers. By contrast, ‘fur’ rabbits are killed at several months old by which time they have developed a thicker skin and coat.
These rabbits are held in crates piled high in view of those being slaughtered. Faeces and urine trickle down from rabbits in crates above them.
Rabbits can scream. It’s a heart wrenching sound only heard when a rabbit is in extreme pain or stress. It is a sound heard all too often in these slaughterhouses. One by one, these rabbits have their throats slit. Many rabbits are not killed instantly. Still alive, with their feet shackled in the assembly line of death—they must wait to bled to death. Their meat is then discarded and their pelts collected to be made into a coat, a pair of earmuffs, or even a keychain.
Compassion is the fashion. Go fur free! #furfreela
Mink are naturally wild animals and do not adapt to life in captivity. On fur farms, the average cage size for mink and other fur bearing animals is roughly 12” by 18” — slightly larger than legal sized paper.
Their abysmal living conditions and confinement can result in self-mutilation, cannibalism, and high-level stress that makes animals more susceptible to disease. One Danish study found that as many as 17% of ranch raised mink will die prematurely.
THINK BEFORE YOU MINK!
Fall fashion will begin making its way into stores soon. Unfortunately for the animals, this means fur season is just around the corner.
These are the faces behind every fur coat. This is why we fight. So if you see real fur for sale— walk out.
No retailer that sells real animal fur deserves your business. Let them know why you’re not shopping at their establishment. SPEAK UP! If you want to take action, let us know and we’ll help you out.
Compassion is the only fashion.

Congrats Sports Illustrated! You’ve managed to objectify both women and animals in one photo! Question, isn’t the SI swimsuit issue supposed to be a magazine full of supermodels wearing itty bitty bikinis? Why on earth would SI feature real fur on the cover of their skimpy bathing suit issue? 👎
What a baneful choice in featuring such a morally inferior company like Canada Goose. Their abominable display of animal cruelty is no secret. Canada Goose Inc. is known worldwide for their cruel, unnecessary, and abundant display of animal cruelty. 💔
Each year in Canada, over 100,000 coyotes are trapped and killed in cruel leg-hold, Conibear and snare traps. In agony and confusion, animals often break teeth and bones trying to escape. Canada Goose chooses to trap and kill coyotes, but thousands upon thousands of non-target animals (yes, even companion animals) are victims of these heinous traps.
The animals have three options:
1) Try to chew off their trapped body part.
2) Bleed, freeze, or starve to death
3) Or wait in agony to be “dispatched” by the trapper.
Again, this is all for a piece of decorative fur trim for an overpriced coat.
Please do not buy this issue and do not support Canada Goose. If you must “ooh and ahh” over supermodel bodies, choose a different publication. The Internet is full of FREE bathroom material, don’t buy this rubbish.
By the way SI, you can count on a strongly worded letter to the editor from yours truly…
