It makes me sick to my stomach that INTERMIX would call this Yves Salomon Raccoon vest “versatile and chic.” I’d say “grotesque and vile” is more like it.
Trappers prefer to drown and beat wild raccoons to death as this method does not hurt the pelt.
According to INTERMIX’s website, the vest was made in France. As they say in French, “c’est vraiment des conneries.” (This is REALLY bullshit). However, if the fur’s origin is from China, and was just labeled “Made in France” (which happens quite often) the fur would actually be from Raccoon Dogs, as Raccoons are not native to Asian countries.
Whatever species of animal suffered and died for this wretched coat, I am truly sorry that humans are so vapid and cruel. RIP
