AMAZING NEWS EVERYONE! KARMALOOP is now #furfree!
Greg, Karmaloop’s Founder and CEO reached out to us on our petition on Change.org. Here’s what he said:
”Thanks for everyone bring this to my attention Karmaloop already had a no Fur policy…we totally dropped the ball and I am really sorry….we have lots of new buyers come in and we didn’t communicate it…we will make sure people remember by posting a big NO FUR sign in the buyers part of our office…..
The stuff should already be down..please let me know if you ever see fur again my email is Gregs@karmaloop.com Karmaloop.com”
What a wonderful win for the animals. We want to applaud Karmaloop on their compassion and customer service. We’re looking forward to shopping with them once again.Thank you to all of our supporters!

Kitson’s continued use of real fur is incredibly disappointing. While we cannot reveal the findings of our latest undercover investigation just yet, we have uncovered some shocking discoveries. Watch this space… #furfreela
We have discovered yet another pair of fur lined shoes AND two Angora (rabbit) fur hats at Karmaloop. So we are moving forward with a #antifur campaign.
We are asking Karmaloop to remove all of their products with REAL fur and pledge to go #furfree!
✨Please sign and share our petition: change.org/Karmaloop✨
These four items are the ONLY items made with real fur in their inventory, so it would be very easy for Karmaloop to just pull these items and enact a store wide fur free policy. #furfreela
These boots are made with REAL fur. Urban Outfitters was a #furfree retailer, but they went back on their word with the sale of these boots. It’s imperative that we let them now that this is unacceptable.
Reach out to them on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook! Here’s a sample tweet:
“I won’t shop at @UrbanOutfitters + @Karmaloop until they stop selling @jcshoes “Hawk” Lita Boots with REAL FUR. #GoFurFree”
Please remember to be *polite!* and remind them that they’ve lost your business for selling real fur. Spread the word! #furfreela
JEFFREY CAMPBELL “HAWK” LITA BOOTS MADE WITH REAL FUR.
Popular fashion footwear designer Jeffrey Campbell has disgraced both the fashion and animal loving communities with a new pair of LITA booties made with REAL fur.
Yo Jeffrey Campbell Shoes! Coming out with a vegan shoe line does not mean you’ve earned a “get out of jail free” card for designing with the pelts of once living and breathing creatures.
The scandal continues…
Urban Outfitters (which claims to be #furfree, despite their history of mislabeling snafus) conveniently left out the part about real fur in it’s product description. KARMALOOP is selling the booties as well. Unlike Urban Outfitters, Karmaloop mentions several times that these boots are made with real fur. Come on guys! There’s nothing modern about Viking booties.
We’re asking that both Urban Outfitters and Karmaloop apologize and pull these items from their inventory. We’re *hoping* this is all a big misunderstanding, but if we do not hear back we will move forward with a petition, online campaign, and city wide demonstrations.
Please, do the right thing ditch the fur! #furfreela

Mink are naturally wild animals and do not adapt to life in captivity. On fur farms, the average cage size for mink and other fur bearing animals is roughly 12” by 18” — slightly larger than legal sized paper.
Their abysmal living conditions and confinement can result in self-mutilation, cannibalism, and high-level stress that makes animals more susceptible to disease. One Danish study found that as many as 17% of ranch raised mink will die prematurely.
THINK BEFORE YOU MINK!
Our website is currently under construction as we’re about to launch the Shop Fur Free LA store, so we’ve been a little quiet the last few weeks. But all that’s about to change!
Kitson has continued to support the heinous fur industry and ignore our pleas for compassion, and we’re not cool with that. Join us won’t you?
Just finished printing the new signs for tomorrow’s Intermix: Please Stop Selling Fur protest, and they turned out great!
Here’s a the latest spin on our “Get The FOX Outta Here" design from the Shop Fur Free LA line.
We will have these shirts available at the protest, so swing by for a chance to pick one up before they go online!

See you tomorrow!
Can anyone tell the difference between the black fur pictured on the left and the black fur on the right?
They’re both real fur with hair follicles have tips that come to a fine point. They’re both attached to hide. They’re both incredibly soft, and the fur moves freely when you blow on it.
So what’s the difference? The black fur on the left is dyed rabbit fur sold at Kitson. The black fur on the right belongs to my black cat Gabby. (I had to give her a belly rub in exchange for this photo.)
The point of this comparison is to show you that there is NO difference between the real fur sold in stores, and your pets’ fur. I’m assuming anyone following this page is anti-fur, but I’m hoping this comparison can help others make the connection.
P.S. Gabby is happy and healthy and she would like you to go faux yourself! #furfreela
